This limited edition model has been expertly modified to embody the ‘Resist the Lift’ philosophy with a fresher than fresh OEM+ style, showcasing our commitment to driving innovation in the VW community.

Body:

The Inspiration Behind the Modification

Our journey with this VW Transporter began with a vision to create something truly unique. The goal was to enhance the iconic features of the Sportline while pushing the boundaries of traditional van aesthetics. By incorporating high-performance elements and luxury upgrades, we crafted a vehicle that not only stands out on the road but also maintains the practicality and robustness expected from a leading utility vehicle.

OEM+ Style Upgrades

Lowered Suspension: To align with the ‘Resist the Lift’ ethos, we lowered the suspension for improved handling and a sleeker profile, ensuring that our Sportline cuts a striking figure on the streets.

Wheels: We chose OZ Aspen HLT 20” wheels for their exceptional design and performance qualities. These wheels complement the Sportline’s dynamic capabilities while adding a touch of elegance to its rugged exterior.

Seats: No detail was too small in our quest for comfort and luxury. We installed upgraded seats using black leather from Porsche Cayenne to provide unparalleled comfort and style, making every drive an experience in itself.

Body-Coloured Wrap: To give it a distinctive look, we applied a 3D body-coloured wrap on the lower half of the vehicle. This not only protects the original paint but also enhances the visual appeal, making it both a showpiece and a workhorse.

Renowned for its unique charm and versatility, the Dogbus has received a fresh, award-winning look for 2024, and we’re excited to share the journey behind its transformation.

The Vision

The Dogbus VW Transporter is not just any vehicle; it’s a symbol of adventure, companionship, and style. When we first sat down with the Dogbus team, we knew we had to create something extraordinary. After several meetings and countless conversations, a vision began to take shape. We aimed to blend aesthetics with functionality, ensuring that every detail resonated with the spirit of the Dogbus.

The Design Process

Our design process is collaborative and meticulous. For the Dogbus, we wanted a look that would stand out and tell a story. We settled on a striking Lamborghini blue for the exterior, a color that exudes luxury and dynamism. This vibrant shade is perfectly complemented by interior accents that bring the whole design together.

To enhance the visual appeal, we drew inspiration from retro computer games, creating a flowing landscape that adorns the vehicle. This landscape, depicting travel and adventure, is a tribute to the journeys and experiences that the Dogbus represents. Central to the design are the beloved retrievers, the true stars of the show, who add a personal and heartwarming touch.

Crafting the Masterpiece

Transforming the Dogbus into a 2024 masterpiece required precision and dedication. Our team at Dubsta worked tirelessly to ensure every element was perfect. The Lamborghini blue paint was meticulously applied to achieve a flawless finish, while the interior shades were carefully selected to harmonize with the exterior. Set against the scenic backdrop of our usual spot, the event brought together VW enthusiasts, featuring a variety of impressive VW Transporters and more, all under the banner of community and good times.

Pre-Party Warm-Up:

Before the main event, some attendees took the opportunity to meet and mingle at a pre-party held at a local campsite. This casual gathering set the perfect tone, allowing everyone to get acquainted and share their excitement for the weekend ahead.

The Arrival:

As the day dawned, attendees rolled in with their meticulously maintained vehicles. The air was charged with anticipation as guests set up their spots with comfy chairs and cool boxes, ready for a day of activities and camaraderie.

BBQ and Food Delights:

Our local butcher supplied a feast that was both hearty and delicious. The butchers’ burgers were a hit from the get-go, with everyone relishing the juicy flavors. By evening, though we had planned for more, the crowd was pleasantly full, and unfortunately, the Dub Dough crew had to shoot off before serving up their pizzas.

Sauce Tasting Excitement:

A key highlight was the Dubsta Sauce Tasting. Instead of a tent, we opted for an open-air setup that really drew the crowd in. Installing a Self-Adhesive Sun Strip on a Vehicle Windscreen

Materials:

  • Self-adhesive sun strip
  • Clean cloth or rag
  • Mild soapy water in a spray bottle
  • Squeegee or credit card
  • Sharp utility knife or razor blade
  • Tape measure or ruler
  • Isopropyl alcohol or window cleaner
  • Masking tape (optional)

Procedure:

  1. Preparation:
    • Park your vehicle in a shaded area or indoors to prevent the sun from drying the soapy water too quickly.
    • Ensure the windscreen is clean from any debris or dirt. Clean it thoroughly using window cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth.
  2. Positioning:
    • Before removing any backing, position the sun strip on the outside of the windscreen to determine where you’d like it to sit.
    • Ensure it doesn’t obstruct the driver’s view. In the UK, this will be on the right side. The sun strip should be above the driver’s line of sight and should not interfere with any camera or sensors that are located near the top of the windscreen.
  3. Marking:
    • Once you’ve positioned the sun strip, use masking tape to mark the corners. This will serve as a guideline when you’re applying the strip.
  4. Application:
    • Mist the area of the windscreen where the sun strip will be applied with the soapy water. This allows you to move and position the sun strip more easily once it’s on the windscreen.
    • Peel the backing off the sun strip, revealing the adhesive side.
    • Carefully align the sun strip with your masking tape markers and apply it to the wet windscreen. The soapy water will allow you to slide and adjust the strip to the desired position.
  5. Smoothing Out:
    • Once the sun strip is in the desired position, use a squeegee or the edge of a credit card to press out any bubbles or wrinkles, working from the center outward.
    • The soapy water solution will help the squeegee glide smoothly across the sun strip. Ensure all edges are firmly stuck down.
  6. Trimming Excess:
    • Using a sharp utility knife or razor blade, carefully trim any excess sun strip material that extends beyond the edge of the windscreen. Ensure you cut in a smooth motion to prevent tearing.
    • When trimming near the pillars or edges of the windscreen, take extra care to not damage the rubber seals or the vehicle’s paint.
  7. Final Steps:
    • Once the sun strip is firmly in place and all excess material has been removed, go over the entire strip with the squeegee again to ensure a firm bond.
    • Let the sun strip dry according to the manufacturer’s instructions before driving or exposing the vehicle to extreme conditions.

Note: It’s essential to review any local regulations or laws related to window tinting or modifications in your area to ensure the sun strip is legally positioned and does not obstruct vision or safety features.

That’s it! Enjoy your newly installed sun strip and the shade it provides.
