Customized VW T5 Sportline: Introducing Our New Shop Van

VW T5 Sportline Van Red

Our shop is buzzing with excitement as we unveil our latest addition—the brand new VW T5 Sportline van! With its vibrant bright red color and eye-catching design, this van is sure to turn heads wherever it goes. But that’s not all—wait till you hear about the custom modifications we’ve made to take it to the next level!

Customizations: Slamming and Porsche Cayenne Front Seats

We didn’t settle for ordinary. To make our shop van truly unique, we decided to slam it on the floor, giving it a sleek and aggressive stance. The lowered suspension not only enhances the van’s aesthetics but also improves handling and performance.

But that’s just the beginning. We also went the extra mile by installing a pair of luxurious Porsche Cayenne front seats. With their ergonomic design and premium comfort, these seats transform the driving experience, making every journey a pleasure.

Key Features of the VW T5 Sportline

The VW T5 Sportline is already a fantastic van, and that’s why we chose it as the canvas for our customization project. Here are some of its standout features:

  1. Powerful Engine: The T5 Sportline comes equipped with a robust engine that delivers impressive performance, making it perfect for carrying heavy loads and long journeys.
  2. Spacious Interior: With ample cargo space and seating capacity, this van offers the flexibility and versatility needed for our shop’s operations. It’s a true workhorse.
  3. Sleek Design: The T5 Sportline boasts a sporty and modern design that catches the eye. Its aerodynamic shape not only looks great but also improves fuel efficiency.

Benefits of Customizing the Van

Why go through the effort of customizing our shop van? Here’s why:

  1. Enhanced Aesthetics: The slammed suspension and Porsche Cayenne front seats give our van a distinctive and head-turning appearance, reflecting our shop’s style and personality.
  2. Improved Comfort: The upgraded seats provide superior comfort and support during long drives, reducing fatigue and ensuring our team arrives fresh and ready to tackle any task.
  3. Better Performance: The lowered suspension not only adds to the van’s visual appeal but also improves handling, stability, and overall performance, making it a joy to drive.

Tips for Implementing Custom Upgrades

If you’re inspired by our customized shop van and want to embark on your own modification journey, here are some tips to help you get started:

  1. Set a Clear Vision: Determine the overall look and purpose of your modified van. Are you aiming for a sleek and stylish design or prioritizing functionality? Having a clear vision will guide your customization decisions.
  2. Research and Plan: Take the time to research different customization options and gather inspiration from sources like magazines, online forums, and social media. Plan out the modifications you want to make and create a budget to ensure everything stays within your means.
  3. Seek Professional Assistance: While some modifications can be done by enthusiasts with the right tools and knowledge, certain custom upgrades may require professional expertise. Consult experienced mechanics or customization specialists to ensure quality workmanship and safety.
  4. Consider Practicality: Think about how the modifications will affect the van’s practicality and usability. Ensure that the changes you make align with your intended purpose. For example, if you use the van for transporting goods, consider storage solutions and accessibility.
  5. Quality is Key: Invest in high-quality parts and materials for your van’s modifications. Cutting corners may lead to subpar results and potential issues down the line. Choose reputable suppliers and prioritize durability and reliability.
  6. Test and Fine-Tune: Once the modifications are complete, take the time to test the van and make necessary adjustments. This includes checking the suspension, alignment, and any electrical or mechanical components that may have been altered.
  7. Safety First: Ensure that any modifications comply with local regulations and safety standards. Consider how the changes may impact the van’s handling, braking, and overall safety. Always prioritize the well-being of yourself and others on the road.
  8. Maintenance and Upkeep: Regularly maintain and service your modified van to ensure its longevity and continued performance. Stay on top of routine maintenance tasks and address any issues promptly to avoid costly repairs in the future.

Remember, customization is an expression of your personal style and needs. Embrace the process and enjoy the journey of transforming your van into a unique and functional masterpiece.

Conclusion: Get Ready to Hit the Road in Style

Our new shop van, a customized VW T5 Sportline, is a testament to the endless possibilities of vehicle modification. With its slammed suspension and luxurious Porsche Cayenne front seats, this van stands out from the crowd.

Whether you’re looking to upgrade your own van or simply appreciate the art of customization, we hope our journey has inspired you. Remember, thoughtful planning, quality craftsmanship, and attention to detail are the keys to creating a personalized and functional vehicle that reflects your style and enhances your driving experience.

So, buckle up, rev the engine, and get ready to hit the road in style with your own customized van!

Steve field who’s on YouTube as T6 Project captured and edited this movie of the show and chose our Nick’s bus as his back drop for narrative.

There were tons of stunning vehicles to feast your eyes on and here are some of our favourites and some other pics that were either caught by us or our friend @wellchuffedmedia (Instagram tag).

Meet the Team – Chandrin

Chandrin is a Volkswagen Nerd.  He was born in 1303S!  Not only that he’s an Automotive Development Engineer with over 20 years knowledge and experience gained from working with OEMs and developing devious personal projects of his own.  He’s there to tickle Dubsta’s creative zones to optimise creativity in a robust manner!

Role

The Oracle

Vehicle(s)

Polo TDI SE

Polo BlueMotion

Mk2 Golf GTI 16V

Mk3 Golf GTI 16V

Mk6 Golf GTI Edition 35

Mk7 Golf GTI Clubsport S

Mk8 Golf GTI Clubsport 45

What’s he all about?

What’s your ultimate Volkswagen to own?

A Veyron let’s not kid ourselves, it is a Volkswagen in all but name.  Technological ‘Tour de Force’ that upstaged all the specialist Supercar manufacturers.  Let it be known the maker of the humble Beetle did this and then some!   Conceived in the core boardroom of Wolfsburg and born free on the sacred tarmac of Ehra-Lessian!

To you what makes a build?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  This is very emotive to the individual.  However, I like builds that demonstrate credibility, continuity, functionality and form.  Not just for show.  You should be able to live with the build and robustly so.

What Inspires you?

Well-engineered products whatever they are.  They must function reliably it’s the reason I became an engineer.

Why are you involved in Dubsta?

I met Ryan through the love and passion for Volkswagens.   He introduced me to Dubsta brand and I absolutely love it.

What’s Dubsta  about for you?

It’s the human side to the Dubsta cars.  The people behind them and their feelings and emotions that were the driving force for their vehicles to become Dubsta icons.

Meet the Team – Ryan

Ryan Mullins - Dubsta

Role

The Boss.

Ryan’s role is broad and varied. He’s the man behind Dubsta. From designing the original logo and building the website, to being behind the social media accounts, he’s built the Dubsta brand from scratch and even designed and fitted the original retro stripes Dubsta is famous for.

Marketing, Sales, Design, Quality, Construction, Fit outs, Maintenance and day to day running of the business all sit under Ryan’s role.

Vehicle(s)

Retro Stripes Transporter
Retro Graphics Van

What’s he all about?

What’s your ultimate VW to own?

With so many to choose from? Jeez. I think the ultimate is the brazilian built SP2. The lines of that thing are just exquisite and some of the renders of wide body ones that have been floating about make an already beautiful thing very very desirable. There’s so many others I’d like to own as well though.

To you, what makes a build?

For me, it begins with wheels and stance. That old thing of making it look fast when it’s stood still has always worked for me. Serious rims, ideally staggered make me smile. I like low with a slight rake, not low low necessarily. Mine are always regularly used so I need practicality as well as stance. Of course I’m willing to test the boundaries though.

What inspires you?

There’s a question. I’m inspired by so many things. I like details, I like subtlety, I like discretion I guess I’m inspired by style. It’s not what’s done, it’s how it’s done. So to answer the original question, I’m inspired by designers, artists, film, photography, nature, human interaction, communication. I can’t answer this one with one thing, the answer is everything.

Why are you involved in Dubsta?

Basically, I love creating stuff and tinkering with motors. Dubsta gives me all that and I get to meet nice people along the way.

What’s Dubsta about for you?

Ok, for me, Dubsta is about cool rides and decent people. It’s more than that too, it’s about genuinely being decent, decent to other people, decent to the environment, just decent.

Grubsta Slide Out Kitchen

One of the first things I wanted in my van aside from the essentials…bikes, coffee machine…was cooking facilities.

I started off using my old toy trunk from when I was a kid (another story) and an old camping twin stove we’d used a few times before.

It was functional but not quite what I wanted…

I was lucky in that my lashing points had been left in place when the new floor went in. With the help of a friend who could weld, we designed up some very simple brackets to simply bolt in. To these we attached some heavy duty sliders and a framed drawer to hold the trunk.

Bingo! slide out kitchen!

Thing was, this trunk deserved better treatment (project in pipeline) and I bought an old metal tool trunk off Facebook. I’ll be honest, it stunk of death…. Like something had been buried in it….

Two weeks airing later and smell resolved. A good clean down and disinfect and a pre-grubsta structure was taking form. False shelf, essentials parked underneath, what could go wrong? Nothing… but… it wasn’t good enough. I couldn’t get to the things under the cooker while I was using it.

Started researching mechanisms and movement.

Who knew what was available? Start simple I thought!

It was time to do this properly. Off to the sandblasters the box went. Bought a new cadac grill as the old one really had seen better days too.
