Custom Stripes for Vans are integral to what Dubsta does. Back in the 60s, Custom Stripes are what made vans look more individual and stand out from commercial vehicles. It’s no different today.
Here at Dubsta we like to take that original ethos and style and reinvent it to suit more modern vehicles. We do older VW vans too but there’s not so many of those around these days.
If you think of woodstock, the festival culture, 1970s american vans or even hot wheels toys, retro stripes for vans have been there consistently throughout. In more recent years, there’s been a trend toward cleaner, simpler lines, making modified vans more “car like” but since running the first custom stripes for vans on Lewis’s Green T4, Our custom stripes for vans have since been featured in magazines and we are gaining enquiries regularly.

At Dubsta we design each set of custom stripes specifically for the customer so no two sets are the same. It’s part of the service. It’s definitely not the cheapest way to do things or the easiest but what would the fun be in that? For us, VW is about individuality, it’s about different. Knowing the custom stripes on your van are different to any other van at the show is part of the appeal.
Produced using modern day wrap material, our retro stripes are suitable for up to 7 years outside before they will start to degenerate. It’s part of the process unfortunately, they’re not permanent. A custom paint job would of course cost much more as well as taking a lot longer to get done.
As described above, every set is designed to order making them completely unique. During that design process we speak with you to make sure you’re happy with the work. Once the design is locked down we can then put together a price for supply and fit.
